A Gathering of Lay Workers across the Districts in the Yorkshire Plus Region (Yorkshire North and East; Yorkshire West; Sheffield).

This gives chance to meet and share good practice with others in similar roles.

This session will be looking at technology and how it can help you in your roles. A panel of experts will answer questions (ideally in advance via the registration form) and offer support and encouragement.

Dan Morrell - As well as being a Children's and Youth Worker in the Sheffield Circuit, Dan works as an independent media consultant for churches and collective groups across the country. He builds websites, runs training on Zoom, social media, events and more. He is an expert in livestreaming systems that can be operated by all, AV systems and more.

Elliot Crippen - Elliot works as Digital Communications Enabler for Yorkshire North & East Methodist District, helping to support and equip churches and circuits in improving their online discipleship, worship, mission, and ministry. He has a particular background and expertise in social media, graphic design, photography, and digital training; but has a broad range of knowledge and provides guidance in areas of video production, websites, online worship, copyright, digital safeguarding and more.

Neil Craig - Digital Development Enabler for York Methodist circuit. Developing a strategic roadmap for the way forward and advising individual churches on equipment and options according to local needs and capability. Provide signposting, training and support to build digital skills and competence.

Paul Coleman - Mission and Ministries Enabler at Yorkshire West Methodist District, Paul is also a historian of science and technology working on historical interactions between faith and the adaption and adoption of technological systems. More practically he is an experienced Audio-Visual engineer with experience in setting up and running hybrid services on a variety of budgets.
